America's Best Blogging Scholarship: Why Ron Paul has my vote

"Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness" are things that we are supposedly guaranteed as American citizens.  They are rights that we hold dear, and often take for granted.  These rights define a free society, and are in place to protect the people from the meddlings of the government.  However, we as Americans have destroyed the free state which our founding fathers worked tirelessly to create.  Even though they were considered "treasonous" for rebelling against the corrupt British monarchy, they knew that their trials in the eighteenth century would "ensure the blessings of liberty to [themselves] and [their] posterity" (Preamble to the Constitution).  Now, over 200 years later in 2012, we are left to make a decision on who we trust to lead this country back to its former glory without forsaking the inalienable rights of our citizens.  I, personally, have made a decision to cast my vote for Doctor Ron Paul.  Of the four remaining Republican candidates, Ron Paul has been the only one who consistently voted against any resolution, democratic or republican, which contradicted the Constitution.  Dr Paul believes that life is sacred and would never perform an abortion; he believes that thouroughly patting down innocent citizens at airports IS sexual assault; and, most important of all, he understands that liberty is an American's most important asset, and must be preserved.  I place my trust in Dr Paul's capable hands, because I know that he is the only candidate who can keep his promise and restore America now.  Blogging Scholarship

Liberty Defined

I have recently begun reading Dr Paul's new book Liberty Defined, which takes a new and daring look at our personal freedoms as Americans.  I would highly reccommend this book (and I of course reccommend The Revolution: A Manifesto for first-time Paul readers) to anyone who truly cares about their liberty and wishes to put an end to big Government corruption.

"Those who sacrifice essential liberty to obtain a bit of temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."
